Strategic Procurement Outlook
The department's work is carried out by staff in Canberra, in State and Territory offices and in our network of overseas posts.
The department's procurement policy provides for the efficient, effective, ethical and economical delivery of its purchasing and procurement programs. Contractual arrangements entered into by the department are conducted in accordance with the principles of value for money and non-discrimination, and are in compliance with the various policies and legislation that regulate Commonwealth procurement, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs). All open approaches to the market are advertised on AusTender.
The procurements described in this plan are expected to be undertaken based on the best information available at the time of publication. All planned procurements are subject to revision or cancellation. The information in this Annual Procurement Plan is provided for planning purposes only and it does not represent a solicitation or constitute a request for proposal, nor is it a commitment by the Government to purchase the described goods or services.
