HE Ms Tegan Brink
Ms Brink is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. She commenced her post as Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of Australia to the United Nations in January 2018. Before taking up this role, she served as an Assistant Secretary in the Office of Trade Negotiations, with responsibility for negotiating and implementing free trade agreements, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement. Ms Brink has also led the Trade and Investment Law Branch.
Ms Brink has previously served at Australia’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations and World Trade Organization in Geneva (2005-2008).
Ms Brink holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Sydney and a Masters of Laws from Columbia University in New York, which she attended as a Fulbright Scholar. She is an Australian legal practitioner admitted to the Supreme Court of the ACT. Ms Brink speaks French.
