The Australian Government is committed to supporting Fiji. It works in close partnership with the Fijian Government and key stakeholders to deliver its aid program to support inclusive economic growth and reduce poverty.
To increase the efficiency, effectiveness and coherence of Australia’s aid program, the Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) was established in 2017 to administer the education, health and scholarship programs in Fiji (and the scholarship program in Tuvalu). This support represents an investment of AUD66 million over five years (2017-2021), one-third of Australia’s bilateral aid for Fiji.
The Facility also supports the integration of crosscutting issues into programs, such as gender equality, civil society engagement, disability inclusiveness, child protection, disaster risk reduction and emergency response.
