This report summarises progress in Australia’s aid program to Samoa in 2014.

Description

This Aid Program Performance Report (APPR) outlines the objectives of the Australian Government’s bilateral aid program to Samoa from July 2013 to June 2014 as articulated in the Partnership for Development, progress towards objectives and recommendations for improving program performance going forward.

Australia continues to use the Government of Samoa to deliver the majority of its development assistance, in line with the Strategy for the Development of Samoa 2012-2016. Australia maintains a strong working relationship with Samoa on development and other issues. The unified approach of the Government of Samoa (GoS) and donor partners on maintaining economic stability has been beneficial and Australia’s support to Samoa under the Cyclone Recovery Program has assisted Samoa to maintain economic stability.
