Social protection initiatives

The Australian Government works closely with partner governments on their own social protection programs, influencing reforms and helping build more efficient systems to support inclusive growth.

The Social Protection Hub, established in 2012, has an important role facilitating South-South dialogue on social protection. It produces publications, organises events and facilitates regional and global knowledge exchange, including through www.socialprotection.org, a web-based social protection knowledge gateway. Within DFAT, the Hub is building a stream of personnel with expertise in social protection.

The Social Protection Hub facilitates collaboration and knowledge exchange among partner governments and global experts to influence reform and build more efficient social protection systems to support inclusive growth.
