BPP Round 3 now open

Applications are now open for Round 3 of the Business Partnerships Platform (BPP). Applications will close on 10 August 2018. There are 19 eligible countries in Round 3, with dedicated funding for Pakistan.

Review the Round 3 Guidelines for Applicants, Gender Guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions for further information on the key selection criteria, priority sectors and eligible countries for Round 3.

To apply, applicants must register and submit an application via the Smartygrants website.

Priority Sectors and Eligible Countries


Eligible countries:

Asia: Vietnam, Myanmar, Nepal, Cambodia, Laos, Pakistan, Philippines, Indonesia, Timor-Leste.
Africa: Kenya, United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, The Republic of Mozambique, Ethiopia.
Pacific: Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Samoa, Solomon Islands.

Eligible sectors:

  • Resources and clean energy
  • Economic Governance
  • Agriculture, water and fisheries
  • Tourism
  • ICT and financial inclusion
  • Transport and infrastructure
  • Education and health.

Applications for Pakistan

As part of Round 3, there is dedicated funding for partnerships in Pakistan.
Applications are being accepted for the following sectors in Pakistan:

  • Resources and Clean Energy
  • Economic Governance
  • Agriculture, Water and Fisheries
  • ICT and Financial Inclusion.

Applicants for Pakistan should refer to the same Round 3 Guidelines for Applicants, Gender Guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions.
