Selection criteria

Applications will be selected on how well they demonstrate that the project meets the seven selection criteria below. Criteria one, two and three are given twice the weighting of the other criteria to reflect their importance.

1. Aligns with CAAR's strategic objectives (20 percent)

2. Raises public and corporate awareness of the importance of the Australian-Arab relationship, builds bridges between Australia and the Arab world and/or demonstrates public diplomacy benefits for Australia (20 percent)

3. Includes activities which support the strategic directions and sector priorities of the CAAR 2013-15 Strategic Plan (20 percent)

4. Is well budgeted and financially manageable and requests a reasonable amount of funding in the context of the overall project. (10 percent)

6. Is conducted by an applicant with relevant skills and experience, or, if project is to be conducted overseas, with previous international experience or the capacity to deliver projects overseas (10 percent)

7. Project proposal is relevant/demonstrates excellence and has demonstrable demand (10 percent)
