Stakeholder Activities

As part of the efforts by Parties of Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations to promote the exchange of views among stakeholders, Peru is pleased to host the following stakeholder activities at the framework of the Seventeenth Round of the TPP negotiations:

Stakeholder Forum: This event, which will take place on May 19th from 09:00 to 13:00, is designed for stakeholders to make presentations on issues related to the TPP negotiations.

If you are interested in making a presentation at the Stakeholder Forum, please contact Miss Roxana Caballero (rcaballero@mincetur.gob.pe). After the registration period has concluded, the final schedule of presentations will be send to the email provided.

Stakeholder Briefing: This event, which will take place on May 19th from 15:00 to 16:00, is hosted by the TPP Chief Negotiators and seeks to update stakeholders on TPP developments. This forum will provide stakeholders the opportunity to raise issues of interest in the negotiations.

Cocktail Reception: This event, which will take place on May 20th from 19:00 to 21:00, is hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism.

Registration

Registration is required for all stakeholders and will take place from April 15th to 30rd. Interested stakeholders are requested to register at: http://www.acuerdoscomerciales.gob.pe/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=184

Badges will be issued for all registered stakeholders based on the registration information provided and will be required for entry to all stakeholder activities. Registered stakeholders can collect their badges at the registration desk located in the JW Marriott Lima Hotel (May 18th – 19th) from 8:00 to 18:00.

Stakeholders will be responsible for covering all of their own expenses.

Further Information

Access to Negotiations: Although there are space limitations, stakeholders will access to common areas at the JW Marriott Lima Hotel. Only TPP delegates will have access to the negotiating areas, including corridors and break areas.

Hard Copies of Relevant Documents: The host will accept hard copies of TPP relevant documents from stakeholders and deliver them to the negotiators. For further information, please contact to Ms. Roxana Caballero (rcaballero@mincetur.gob.pe)

Translation Services: Stakeholder Forum and Stakeholder Briefing will have English-Spanish translation services.

Additional Stakeholder Activities: Due to limited resources, the host will not be able to provide assistance in organizing additional stakeholder activities.

Security: For security reasons, all delegates and stakeholders are subject to property inspections before entering TPP conference space.
