Mr Andrew Todd
Deputy High Commissioner to the United Kingdom
Mr Todd is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and commenced duty as the Deputy High Commissioner to the United Kingdom in January 2013.
His most recent position in Canberra was Assistant Secretary, Staffing Branch (2009-12). He has also held the positions of Assistant Secretary, APEC Branch (2008-09), Assistant Secretary, Parliamentary and Media Branch (2005-08), and Assistant Secretary, Public Diplomacy Branch (2003-04). Other positions held in Canberra include: Director, West Europe (1995-97); Director, Trade Advocacy and Outreach (2002-03); and Director United Nations Social and Economic (1993-95).
Mr Todd has served overseas as Commissioner-General for Australia, World Expo Aichi, Japan (2004-05), and as Counsellor, Congressional Liaison, at the Australian Embassy, Washington DC (1998-2001).
Mr Todd holds a Bachelor of Art (Honours) Degree from the Australian National University. He is married, with one adult son (currently at university).
