Interview translation services

If you are not fluent in English you can bring someone with you to your passport interview to interpret for you, or you can use the Telephone Interpreter Service (TIS) at the interview, at no cost. It is best to arrange the translation in advance by phoning TIS on 131 450.

Passport application forms are not available in translation and must be completed in English.

Relay services for the deaf

National Relay Service (NRS) aids callers who have a hearing, speech or communication impairment and for Text Telephone (TTY) or modem callers: 133 677
