The China-Australia Food Security Cooperation Initiative

ACC and Australia-China Business Council (NSW) are partners in the new project to further expand collaborations between Australia and China on food security.  Food security will be one of the most critical issues of this century. Australia and China have a considerable track-record in working together on agricultural and food security projects.   But there are numerous opportunities to grow our cooperation through joint research, two-way investment, and commercialisation.  The China-Australia Food Security Initiative (CAFSCI) aims to become a leading platform for collaboration and information exchange between Australian and Chinese researchers, agencies and agribusinesses.  One of the main elements of the project is a comprehensive database of joint agricultural research and commercialisation projects and Australian agricultural technologies and we are keen to hear from researchers and companies interested to participate in CAFSCI.
