Project Description

The proposed project will explore the issue of women's safety in India through a short survey and a workshop, with a focus on building linkages. The workshop intends to build Australia-India relations by inviting researchers, policymakers and the media to an open discussion about how to improve the safety of women in Indian cities. A video recording will be produced of students from Australia who have excelled in different fields in India to encourage more Indian students to do their PhDs in Australia. Both activities will be promoted using social media, and disseminated within connected institutions, including the major economic schools in India.
