Australia-Thailand Chamber of Commerce, 2012 Australia-Thai Business Forum
ATI SUPPORT PROVIDED: $15,584
The Australia Thailand Chamber of Commerce intends to host a business forum in the second half of 2012 as a step towards building the business focus and promoting trade between the two countries. Attendees would include representations from the Thai government, regional associations, and top level business executives from both Australia and Thailand. This forum is due to be held towards the end of 2012 with a full completion report to be submitted by AustCham to the ATI by the end of Jan 2013.
Australian Studies Centre, Thammasat University, Thailand- International Symposium on “Celebrating 60th Anniversary of Australia Thailand Relations”
ATI SUPPORT PROVIDED - $15,000
The ATI is part funding a symposium to be held by the Thammasat University's Australia Studies Centre for celebrating the 60th anniversary of bilateral relations between the two countries. The symposium will provide a forum for an exchange of ideas about the economy, politics, culture, education and the relations between the two countries. The funding will be also assist the Centre to setup and launch a website for collaboration with other Australian Studies Centres in the Asia-Pacific Region. This program is due for completion by November 2012 with a full completion report to be submitted to the ATI by the end of December 2012.
Australia-Thailand Chamber of Commerce, Australian Alumni
ATI SUPPORT PROVIDED: $8,400
A joint initiative between the Australia-Thailand Chamber of Commerce (AusCham Thailand) and the Thai Australian Association (TAA) to provide an umbrella alumni structure in Thailand for alumni of Australian universities. This will promote the value of Australian university education and build people-to-people links between Thailand and Australia, particularly in the areas of business and education. This project is due for completion in April 2012 with a full completion report to be submitted to the ATI by the end of May 2012.
