We note another postponement and even yet no fixed date. Assembly meeting is now one month away. Unless fixed date is announced within next few days, we must assume no conference conclusions are intended before Assembly. Please ascertain position as Critchley's movements in relation to Assembly must now be considered.

1 Dispatched on 7 August, it reported a statement by Van Maarseveen on 3 August that the Netherlands Government reserved freedom to delay the opening of the Round Table Conference until the Cease-fire agreement in Indonesia had been implemented.
