8. Speciment signatures of officers
DFAT State and Territory offices are responsible for providing a list of specimen signatures of those officers authorised to authenticate documents on behalf of the Department to the Manager, Consular Coordination Unit, Consular Branch. This information should be sent/faxed in January of each year. Consular Branch will forward the lists of specimen signatures to Embassies in Canberra. Each State/Territory office should also send/fax the list of specimen signatures relevant to that State/Territory only to Consulates located in that State/Territory.
