Australia has entered into 10 free trade agreements (FTAs), both with individual countries and groups of countries.
FTAs provide Australian importers, exporters, producers and investors with better access to international markets. They also provide:
- a better competitive position for Australian exports
- more prospects for increased two-way investment
- reduced import costs for Australian businesses and consumers.
