2005 Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Australia and the Government of Vanuatu on Development Cooperation

Summary of publication

Outlines the scope of Australian development cooperation with Vanuatu and management and administration arrangements.

The Memorandum of Understanding highlights possible Australian assistance in governance, law and justice, civil society, education, health, human resource development and productive sectors. Possible forms of assistance include advisers, scholarships, funds, equipment, materials, goods and services. The MOU highlights Vanuatu's contributions to supporting program delivery. It requires DFAT and Vanuatu's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to agree on the details of specific activities in subsidiary arrangements to the MOU.

Note this MOU has been superseded by an 2018 Memorandum of Understanding between the Governments of Australia and Vanuatu.
