This report evaluates the progress of the Australian aid program to the Palestinian Territories from July 2014 to June 2015. The PTs aid program performed well in extenuating circumstances by supporting the provision of essential services through the Palestinian Authority and United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) and building economic growth in rural communities. The Australia Middle East NGO Cooperation Agreement (AMENCA 2) concluded at the end of 2014-15 and after six years had contributed to the creation of more than $80 million in additional agriculture produce in the West Bank and Gaza. Violent conflict erupted in the Gaza Strip in July and August 2014 and Australian aid delivered urgent humanitarian assistance to people affected by the crisis, including emergency food and hygiene kits, medical assistance and rehabilitation of damaged livelihood assets.
