Summary of publication
This report summarises the progress and performance of Australia’s aid program to Timor-Leste over the period of July 2015 to June 2016, the first year of implementation under the Aid Investment Plan Timor-Leste 2015/16 – 2018/19. Australia remained Timor-Leste’s largest development partner, providing $99.1 million in official development assistance. Investments in agriculture and community-driven development continued to perform highly and our health, roads and water and sanitation programs delivered good results. Performance in education and ending violence against women programs improved significantly from last year. Across the program, we focused on ways to improve nutrition, encourage innovation, empower women and girls, and support persons with a disability.
