Investing in better education outcomes for all children and youth across the Pacific has been a long-standing objective of Australia’s aid program.
Under the Pacific Step-up, Australia will further deepen educational links with the region, through a new scholarships program to support more Pacific students study in Australian secondary schools.
We are also extending the Australia-Pacific BRIDGE School Partnerships program to develop relationships between Australian and Pacific teachers to support collaboration, intercultural learning and facilitate exchanges between teachers on best practices in education.
