Ralph Regenvanu, Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and External Trade in Vanuatu (Member for Port Vila), was selected for an Australian Development Award and graduated with an Honours degree in Development Studies from the Australian National University in 1991.
Mr. Regenvanu was first elected to Parliament in 2008. His first Ministerial appointment was as Minister of Ni-Vanuatu Business in December 2010. Prior to entering politics, Mr. Regenvanu promoted cultural development and preservation in Vanuatu and the Pacific. He was the director of the Vanuatu Cultural Centre, a delegate working in collaboration with UNESCO, and a founding member of the Pacific Islands Museums Association.
