The Australia-ASEAN Muslim Exchange Program provides the opportunity for emerging Muslim leaders in Australia and from ASEAN countries to participate in a community-based program of dialogue, intellectual and cultural exchange.
Delegates will experience a program reflecting the diversity of multicultural Australia and Muslim communities in Southeast Asia. Emerging community leaders such as individuals involved in non-government organisations, charities, mosques, Islamic schools, universities, as well as authors, artists, and academics are encouraged to apply.
The AAMEP draws on an 18-year history of the Australia-Malaysia, Australia-Thailand and the Australia-Indonesia Muslim Exchange Programs. These programs are unique in their focus on building friendship and understanding between the Muslim communities of Australia and ASEAN.
