Enhancing understanding of each other’s cultures – language

The Australia-China Council has supported a range of education innovations. One of the first was Hanyü 1, which was used in Australia and internationally to teach Mandarin. Hanyü 1 was published by Griffith University in 1985. By mid-1986, it had sold nearly 3,000 copies.
