Project Description

With the support of ACC, Asialink will award an arts residency to China and a reciprocal residency to Taiwan in 2017. Selected through a competitive nationwide grant round, the successful practitioner will use the opportunity to expand their network in China and Taiwan, immerse themselves in the local culture and create new work.

Since 1991 Asialink's Arts Residency program has provided international professional development opportunities for arts professionals across all art forms. The largest program of its kind in Australia, Asialink's Residency Program maintains established partnerships with host organisations across Asia. Residencies between one and three months encourage research, skills sharing, artistic development, and the establishment of enduring networks and relationships throughout the region.

  • Two residencies to China, TBC, 1 March 2017 to 31 December 2016
  • Residency related outcomes such as exhibitions, artist talks and public programs, TBC, 1 March 2017 to 31 December 2017
