Project summary

The ATSE-CAE Food Safety Workshop on food safety is jointly run by the Chinese Academy of Engineering and in Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering (ATSE) Melbourne in October 2017.  The 2017 Workshop builds on a workshop the two Academies jointly ran in April 2016 in Beijing. The 2016 workshop established and strengthened relationships between Australian and Chinese delegates from the agricultural industry and academia.

The aim of the 2017 workshop is to produce an action plan that highlights a range of technological solutions to food safety issues that can be implemented in Australia and China.  This workshop will be accompanied by 2 days of site visits around Australia (such as CSIRO Food Innovation Centre, Food Innovation Australia, and the Food Agility Cooperative Research Centre) to promote collaboration in the agricultural industry
