Project summary

An ELISION residency at the Shanghai New Music Festival consists of two major concerts and a public lecture, a major part of the Shanghai New Music Week, September 2017. The core concert is the first ever portrait concert of Australian-Chinese composer Liza Lim inside China.

ELISION will present Lim’s latest major work ‘How Forests Think’.  The project enables ELISION and Lim to develop high value access to China, building upon previous success in Europe and the USA.  Embedded within the project is opportunity to develop skills and profile for a next generation of Australian performers through augmentation of the core ELISION ensemble with Australian National Academy of Music musicians.
