The presentation of a 12m Golden Monkey accompanied by projected sound track by Australian Artist Lisa Roet will be placed on the outside of the prestigious The Opposite House building in the Sanlitun area of Beijing. The Golden Monkey will be exhibited along with a jewellery project also by Lisa Roet placed in the interior of The Opposite House as part of Beijing's Design week and China's Golden Week Celebrations.
This high profile project will be the sister project to Roet's marking of the beginning of the Year of the Monkey with the placement of a 9m Golden Monkey designed for the Melbourne Town Hall in February this year. Over 1,000,000 were witness to this work and the planned Golden Monkey for Beijing is expected to attract a great deal of attention.
