Project summary

CMA’s objective is to promote greater engagement between Chinese stakeholders and members of the Australian complementary medicines industry. The demand for complementary medicines is growing rapidly in China as an increasingly health-conscious population take a strong interest in their health and wellbeing.

CMA hosted an international innovation expo and a conference on 25-26 October 2017 in Sydney. With the theme ‘The Next Big Thing’ this year’s expo provides the opportunity to learn about emerging trends, the latest developments in complementary medicines research, and to showcase the latest innovative products. Trade with international markets is crucial for the long-term prosperity of the Australian complementary medicines industry, and China, in particular, is a very significant trading partner.
