Project summary

The Australia Collaboration, Indigenous cultural exchanges and performance outcomes project will explore and bring to life an innovative, cross-cultural musical collaboration and performance between Indigenous Taiwanese and Indigenous Australian musicians.

The creation of this new musical performance will be a genuine, two-way exchange; one borne out of regard and respect for cultural inheritance, traditions, expertise and conversation. This is a genuine collaboration based on relationships built during the 2016 tour of Taiwan.

The proposed itinerary has a focus on performance outcomes:

  • Taiwan - Fuli community in Fuli Village and Amis Festival in Taitung
  • Australia - Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM) showcase in Brisbane and WOMADelaide Festival in Adelaide.
