Project summary

Video histories of Chinese Australian History starting with the Haymarket Area will give relevant content to thousands of tourists to the Sydney city precinct. Haymarket is renowned for it’s Chinese influence, food, shops, markets and it's history is also fascinating. The Yesterday Stories project finds this history and presents it in bite sized content with drama reenactments to tell the history of the area for Tourists and students alike.

A mobile app allows the user to experience the history of an area via 2-3 minute video histories geographically pinned. Predominantly through short videos, people will be able to walk or even drive the streets of Australia and see the histories of that area. This project will start with 12 historical stories specifically in the Haymarket/Sydney area.
