Project description

Through a mix of choreographic development, residencies and performances, for Australian and Indonesian artists, this project will develop new pathways for cultural exchange between the two countries. Facilitated by STRUT Dance, the national choreographic centre of Western Australia, the initiative includes:

  • performances of Australian artists in Pekanbaru Riau Festival;
  • inclusion of Indonesian dance artists into STRUT choreographic development program;
  • dancers from Ballet Indonesia Foundation and Nan Jombang Dance;
  • a six-week choreographic residency at Salihara Arts Centre for an Australian choreographic team.
