Country location: Australia, Japan

AnimeGO! will get people involved in a community event focusing on the Japanese cultural phenomenon of anime to create opportunities for engagement with Japan, its people and culture. The inaugural festival will comprise of screenings of the latest Japanese anime, presentations by industry professionals, exhibitor and food stalls, and cultural performances of Japanese music and dance.
It is intended that this festival will become an annual event that will encourage participation through our counterpart organisations in Japan, as well as South Australia and Adelaide's sister-city and sister-state. This is particularly relevant to the sister-state relationship with Okayama Prefecture in Japan, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2017.
