Performances will take place at Setagaya Public Theatre, Tokyo on the 6th of August, followed by the winner announcement, conferences and informal meetings.

The TOYOTA Choreography Award was established in 2001 and "seeks to discover and cultivate the next generation of choreographers". Past finalists have gone on to become leaders in the Japanese art world.
