Project description

The grant from the Australia-Japan Foundation will allow top performing journalism students from RMIT's Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) to undertake an internship at the Japan Times in Tokyo.  Internships in international news organisations are seen as key to preparing students for an increasingly globalised media, and the internships at the Japan Times in Tokyo provide an extra element of cultural and workplace learning.

The project supports future Australian journalists to develop their interest in Japan and through their in-country media internships, help to promote a contemporary image of Australia in Japan.
