Project description

The inaugural "Australia-Japan Foundation Distinguished Scholars Lecture and Round Table Series: Sharing Insights on International Affairs" will be made up of four lectures and round table talks by Australian professors spanning from October 2017 to June 2018.  The activities will be hosted by the University of Niigata Prefecture.

The series has four key objectives:

  • Interaction between Australian academics and Japanese public and students over international affairs of mutual concern.
  • Promotion of understanding of Australian viewpoints on international affairs in Japan.
  • Sharing educational and research excellence of Australian universities in the field of international relations with Japanese academic circles and the general public.
  • Promoting networks of Australian and Japanese experts on international affairs to build long-term academic exchange relationships.
