Project description

Projects to enhance connectivity, including China's Belt and Road Initiative and the Asia-Africa Growth Corridor, are proliferating across the Indo-Pacific. This project will investigate the economic and security implications of these schemes for Australia and Japan, countries with major stakes in free and open markets and well-regulated investment regimes. It will bring together analysts and policymakers from both countries to share their research and insights into how best to work together to improve connectivity while maintaining the highest standards and manage national security threats.
