Sports programs are an increasingly important way to connect children and administrators, enabling important information to be gathered and verified quickly and easily. To celebrate Universal Children’s Day on 20 November 2015, 200 children from schools across Solomon Islands were issued with birth certificates through a Just Play initiative (supported by Australia through the Pacific Sports Partnerships program). These documents ensure these kids their right to a national identity (and give the fans of the future an official name to chant from the stands!).
