KESATUAN: Support and Implementation for Health Security in Indonesia and the Indo-Pacific

Update: DFAT is seeking a contractor to jointly manage the Australia Indonesia Health Security Partnership (AIHSP) as well as services to support the implementation of activities delivered as part of the Indo-Pacific Health Security Initiative. The joint package of activities will be known as KESATUAN (Kemitraan Untuk Satu Kesehatan): Support and Implementation for Health Security in Indonesia and the Indo-Pacific.

The Indo-Pacific Health Security Initiative was launched in October 2017 to contribute to the avoidance and containment of infectious disease threats in the Indo-Pacific with the potential to cause social and economic harms on a national, regional or global scale.

A Contractor is required to support the implementation of several activities delivered as part of the Health Security Initiative in countries across Southeast Asia and the Pacific. The Initiative operates at regional and country levels, and with a range of partner organisations, including universities and the World Health Organization.

The Contractor will implement identified activities based on an agreed annual plan and tasking notes. To support the work of the Health Security Initiative across countries of the Indo-Pacific, the Contractor will be tasked to:

  • Make arrangements to support training events and workshops, including bookings for travel, accommodation and venue hire
  • Recruit, contract and mobilise long term-advisers in specialist deployments
  • Provide stipends and allowances to individuals participating in Heath Security Initiative activities and supporting responses to disease outbreaks
  • Coordinate and provide small activity grants to volunteers.
