Product Development and Access Partnerships for proposals

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Global Health Division is now seeking proposals for Product Development and Access Partnerships under the new $620 million Partnerships for a Healthy Region initiative announced by the Foreign Minister on 23 February.

This call for proposals for Product Development and Access Partnerships is funded at up to $75 million over five years (2022-23 to 2026-27). Product Development Partnerships (PDPs) are publicly-funded global research and development organisations that bring together public, private, academic and philanthropic actors to drive the development of life-saving medical products for use in developing country settings. We are seeking proposals from specialist research organisations for Product Development and Access Partnerships to support the development and introduction of new vaccines, drugs, diagnostics and mosquito-control technologies relevant for our region. In addition to funding for core research and development activities, this competitive process will also encourage PDPs to address product access barriers.

Please visit the Product Development and Access Partnerships webpage for more information about this call for proposals, including the Invitation, Application Guidelines, upcoming virtual information session, closing date and other supporting documentation. All addenda, including frequently asked questions and any changes to timeframes, will also be posted on this webpage.
