DFAT will shortly go to market for a managing contractor to implement the Vietnam – Australia Human Resource Development Program (Aus4Skills).
Aus4Skills (Phase 3, $90m over ten years) will support Vietnam's ambitions of becoming an upper middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2045. It will build on and consolidate Australia's longstanding support for education and skills development in Vietnam. The Program will incorporate recommendations from the Aus4Skills Phase 2 Mid-Term Review. Phase 2 is due to conclude 31 December 2025.
DFAT anticipates the approach to market will be through a two-step procurement process commencing in August 2024. A request for Expressions of Interest (RFEOI) in August 2024 would be Step 1 of the process. A failure to respond to the RFEOI would result in a potential respondent not being invited to participate in the subsequent Request for Tenders (RFT) Step 2 of the process. An RFT for Aus4Skills would be issued in January 2025 with mobilisation to commence in late 2025 or 1 January 2026 at the latest. The proposed procurement will be listed on the AusTender website when it is released to the market.
