AusConnect is an online marketplace that makes it easier to link searchers and suppliers to opportunities for engagement in the Australian development program.

Since establishing the portal in 2018, it has advertised over 3,373 opportunities with 2,056 in the Pacific and 130,131 unique hits to the site.

This portal serves as a single source of information listing opportunities with implementing partners and within DFAT. It provides links for searchers to the entity holding the primary contract with DFAT so searchers can find more information and apply.

AusConnect is for all implementing partners in the development program – including commercial contractors, NGOs, and INGOs. AusConnect does not replace existing mechanisms through which market opportunities are advertised - the innovation is that it brings all opportunities, including those for sub-contractors, into one accessible location searchable by sector, value and geography.

The AusConnect principles have been updated (May 2021) to make it easier for suppliers and DFAT posts to use AusConnect in small value procurements. The Development Partners Engagement Section (VPE) is happy to assist new suppliers with the advertising.
