Ms Sophie Davies

Ms Davies is a career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was most recently Acting Assistant Secretary, Governance and Planning Branch.

She has previously served overseas as Ambassador to Colombia and Deputy Head of Mission in Peru.

Ms Davies holds a Master of Evaluation from the University of Melbourne, 2012, a Masters of Social Science (International Development) from RMIT, 2001, and a Bachelor of Economics/Laws from the University of Sydney, 1992.

Ms Davies is Australia’s first female Ambassador to Brazil.
