Mr David Jessup
Mr Jessup is a career officer at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and was most recently Director, Northern and Central Europe Section. He previously served overseas in Washington DC in the US Department of State, as Australia’s representative in the Office of the US Special Presidential Envoy to the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, as Executive Director of the Australian American Leadership Dialogue and as Counsellor Political at the Australian Embassy working on Afghanistan and Counter-Terrorism issues.
He has also served overseas as Deputy Head of Mission in Stockholm and as First Secretary Economic in Bangkok. In Canberra, he has worked in a range of positions in DFAT, the Department of Defence and the Department of Finance.
Mr Jessup holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of New England and a Master of International Relations from the Australian National University.
