Summary of publication

This is the independent progress report for the ASEAN Australia Development Program Phase II (AADCP II).

This report confirmed that AADCP II has earned considerable respect from ASEC leaders for remaining actively and creatively involved in efforts to move towards the achievement of the AEC and that despite a protracted start-up and the challenging context, the program has proved to be adaptable and true to the ideals of partnership.

Key report recommendations include to enhance monitoring and evaluation and learning, and to extend the program duration to no later than December 2019 (without additional funding).
