Summary of publication

This report summarises the performance of Australia's aid program to Bangladesh over the period of July 2018 to June 2019.

In 2018-19, Australia's aid program provided $105.11 million in official development assistance to Bangladesh through strategic partnerships, including with the United Nations Development Programme, Underprivileged Children's Education Programs (UCEP), World Food Programme, and BRAC NGO. During the reporting period a significant portion of Australian Aid assistance continued to support the Rohingya humanitarian crisis, both in the refugee camps and the Bangladesh host community in Cox's Bazar. This report finds that in 2018-19Australia's aid program made good progress against our two key objectives: improving education access, equity, efficiency and learning outcomes; and building resilience by reducing vulnerability and improving inclusion in the growing economy.
