The Australian Government has launched Australia’s new International Gender Equality Strategy which replaces the Gender equality and women’s empowerment strategy.
Summary of publication
This strategy applied to the work of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) from 2016 to 2025. This document outlined why and how we worked on gender equality and women's empowerment in foreign policy, economic diplomacy and development programming.
