The Independent Progress Review (IPR) of the Poverty Reduction Support Facility (PRSF) was conducted through a visit to Indonesia between 13 January and 1 February 2013 by three independent reviewers.
The purpose of the review was to evaluate the extent to which Australian Aid has enabled the PRSF to achieve its objectives, and to review lessons learned for PRSF that could be used in further improving the Facility. The review concluded that PRSF has achieved an enormous amount in the short time it has been in existence including supporting the Government of Indonesia in its poverty reduction efforts and managing increases in funding and staffing. This evaluation was undertaken at a time when the Australia Government was planning a significant increase in this investment, and before the Australian aid program was integrated into the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
