Summary

The Partnership for Development between Australia and Vanuatu commits the governments to make more rapid progress towards the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Vanuatu's own development ambitions.

Description

The Partnership guides Australia's aid to Vanuatu in education, health, infrastructure, economic governance, law and justice. It contains target results the governments expect to achieve in Vanuatu 2009–2015. It commits Vanuatu to provide sound laws and policies, strong public service delivery, and effective and transparent management of development resources. It commits Australia to provide increased and more predictable aid funding and high quality technical advice, and to deliver aid through the Government of Vanuatu.
