Summary of publication
Australia's development assistance to the Philippines in 2016-17 was largely focused on advice and technical assistance that aimed to have a catalytic effect on both reform efforts and capacity development of the Philippines Government. This report provides an assessment of DFAT's success in delivering assistance against the three key objectives outlined in the Philippines Aid Investment Plan for 2015-16 to 2017-18:
- enhancing the foundations for economic growth;
- building stronger institutions for transparent and accountable governance; and
- improving conditions for peace and stability.
