Papua New Guinea Building Resilience in Treaty Villages Program Review (South Fly District, Western Province)

Summary of publication

This report presents the findings and recommendations of an independent review of the Building Resilience in Treaty Villages (BRTV) Program, delivered in South Fly District, Western Province, PNG. This review covers the period from September 2014 (BRTV mobilisation) to March 2016.

The BRTV Program is a $1.8 million pilot investment in community-driven development which aims to increase the self-reliance of 4 of 13 villages included in the Torres Strait Treaty between Australia and PNG. BRTV seeks to sustainably improve Treaty villages' economic and social livelihoods and health outcomes.
